The Pathway to Life Inc. is a social welfare organization registered under the Securities and Exchange Commissions (SEC) of the Republic of the Philippines and has as well legally acquired its permit from the Local Government Unit (LGU) where the head office is located, to operate and conduct its activities with its head office.
Yes. The Pathway to Life Inc. is required after registration with the SEC, to register with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to have its Tax ID, and comply with the monthly and annual mandatory tax report filing and audit with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
The organization is accounted by the receipt of donations and Official Receipts (OR) of donations are kept accordingly for audit.
No. The Pathway to Life Inc. is not exempted from tax but is minimally charged as a non-profit organization. Tax exemption is pending as per compliance to accreditation from the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) of the Republic. The accreditation is in the works and will soon be accomplished.
Every amount received from a donor is issued an Official Receipt that you can present as proof of donation when you file your annual Income Tax Return (ITR) report. Whatever amount you have donated will be deducted to the total income tax you are to pay the government.
